CSI: What Do You Want From Me?

Description

...You know, I don't think I really have that much interesting to say about this picture, it was just something I started in order to break in and get used to my new tablet that I got from my parents as an early birthday present (I s';pose it's only appropriate that the first picture I made with it got finished on my birthday...). I'm just trying to find a technique I like while teaching myself to use more than two colours together, really. I think I succeeded with that last part, because I can't remember packing this many different colours and hues into anything I've done before, and this is probably the most detailed portrait of mine, ever.

I've been going on a major C.S.I. binge for a couple of months now, but I didn't really mean to make portraits of any of the characters. If I did, I would have gone for the real, I'll-kick-your-ass Sara (as played by Jorja Fox) rather than this weepy version of her... :XD: (I just wanted something other than a blank expression, and I've never had a go at painting teary eyes before.) And now I'm itching to do the rest of the gang as well. Which is a stupid, stupid, stupid idea, since I'm still only a little over half done with the House people.

Anyway, this was a really fun piece to do, but don't look too hard at the hair, please. I still can't seem to manage to find a way to do hair without falling asleep from boredom.

Done in Photoshop, with default brushes only (apart from the background), in somewhere around 20 hours. And you don't really need me to tell you that I used a photo reference, do you?

Beautiful, simply beautiful. There is something to be said about a picture that can make you cry! Great work. Sara is my favorite character!
